Engineering & Technology

The engineering inside every SOLARIX tank

Every SOLARIX water heater is built around a simple idea: protect the water, hold the heat and keep energy use low. Here is how the technology works — layer by layer.

Tank Structure

Four layers, one job: hot water that lasts

A cutaway view of the SOLARIX tank shows how each layer contributes to durability, hygiene and heat retention.

Stainless steel tank body, precision-welded and built for pressure

  1. 01

    Steel tank body

A precision-welded steel vessel forms the pressure-bearing core of the heater. Every tank is pressure-tested before it leaves the factory.

  2. 02

    Enamel inner coating

A glass-smooth enamel layer is fused to the inner surface, sealing the steel against corrosion and keeping stored water hygienically clean.

  3. 03

    Polyurethane insulation

High-density, CFC-free polyurethane foam wraps the entire tank, minimising standby heat loss so water stays hot for longer.

  4. 04

    Outer casing

A robust outer shell protects the insulation and internal components, finished cleanly for installations where the unit stays in view.

Core Technologies

Six technologies, one dependable result

From coating chemistry to safety systems, every element inside a SOLARIX heater is chosen for long service life in real installation conditions.

Enamel Coating

The inner tank is coated with fused enamel that forms a smooth, non-porous barrier between steel and water. It resists corrosion and scale adhesion, keeping stored water clean throughout the tank's service life.

Polyurethane Insulation

Injected high-density polyurethane foam fills the space between tank and casing without gaps. The result is low standby loss: water heated during the day is still hot many hours later.

Electric Heating Element

A thermostat-controlled immersion element delivers dependable heating on demand. An integrated safety cut-out interrupts power if temperature limits are ever exceeded.

Solar Heating Integration

Hybrid models connect to solar collectors so that free solar energy does the primary heating work. The electric element only tops up when sunlight is insufficient — automatically.

Heat Exchanger System

In closed-loop models, an internal coil transfers heat from the solar circuit into the stored water. The sealed circuit keeps scale out and allows antifreeze operation in cold climates.

Safety & Pressure Testing

Every tank is pressure-tested before dispatch. Thermostat behaviour, the safety cut-out and pressure resistance are all checked as part of the standard production routine.

Hybrid Operation

How solar + electric work together

Four steps from sunlight to a reliably hot tap — with no manual switching at any point.

  1. 1

    Sunlight is collected

Solar collectors absorb solar radiation and convert it into heat throughout the day.

  2. 2

    Heat moves into the tank

The heated fluid circulates to the tank, warming the stored water directly or through the internal coil.

  3. 3

    Electric element tops up

When solar input is not enough — at night or in cloudy weather — the thermostat activates the electric element automatically.

  4. 4

    Hot water, around the clock

The insulation holds the heat, so hot water is ready whenever it is needed, whatever the weather.

Energy Efficiency

Engineered to waste as little as possible

Efficiency in a water heater comes from three places: where the heat comes from, how well it is kept, and how precisely it is controlled.

Solar-first operation

Hybrid systems always prioritise free solar energy, so the electric element runs only when it is genuinely needed.

Low standby losses

Full-body polyurethane insulation keeps stored water hot for extended periods and reduces reheating cycles.

Thermostat precision

Accurate temperature control avoids overheating and unnecessary consumption while keeping comfort constant.

Final technical values will be published after manufacturer confirmation.

Quality & Testing

Tested before it ever reaches you

SOLARIX runs a production process where quality is checked at the stages that matter — incoming material, welding, coating, assembly and final test. No unit is dispatched without passing its pressure test.

Support & installation guidance
  • Every tank pressure-tested

Each vessel is individually pressure-tested before leaving the production line.

  • Multi-stage quality control

Inspections at the welding, enamelling and assembly stages catch deviations early.

  • Material traceability

Steel, coatings and components are documented so the materials of every tank can be traced.

  • Safety cut-out verification

Thermostat and safety cut-out function are verified on finished units.
